Featured Article: Amp Stereo Amplifier:

Whenever people talk about "amplifiers", they are normally referring to a home stereo amplifier or musical equipment. However, this is only a minimal part of the huge scope that an audio or home stereo amplifier encompasses. There are numerous types of home stereo amplifiers. Amplifiers can essentially be seen in computers, televisions, speakers, portable CD players, and other devices that require a speaker in order to produce great sounds.
Sound and music are an amazing and magnificent phenomenon. Whenever there is a vibration that occurs in the environment, the particles surrounding it move along with it. These air particles will move as well the air particles that surround them, transporting the vibration pulse through the air. Your ears receive these fluctuations in the form of air pressure and convert them into electrical signals and codes that your brain can process.
Electronic sound equipments, like a home stereo amplifier, work in the same basic method. It mirrors sound as a changeable electric current. Ultimately, there are 3 steps and processes of this type of sound reproduction:
1. Sound frequency waves stimulate a microphone diaphragm to swing back and forth, and the microphone converts this swinging motion into an electrical signal. This electrical signal rises and falls in order to represent the refractions and compressions of the sound wave.
2. A voice recorder encodes electrical signals as a pattern through some sort of medium. For example, they can be translated into magnetic impulses on voice tapes or as grooves in a record piece.
3. A tape deck player retakes this actual pattern as an electrical signal and utilizes this electricity to swing or move a speaker cone in a back and forth movement. This will reproduce the air pressure oscillations that were previously recorded by the microphone.
As you have read and understood, all the primary components in this electrical system are translators. They encode the signal in a specific form and convert it into another. The sound signal is then translated back into its previous and original form, which is a physical sound wave.
To register and recognize all the minute pressure fluctuations occurring in a single sound wave, the microphone diaphragm must be tremendously sensitive. This means that its size should be very thin and that it only moves a short distance. As a result, the microphone creates a small but adequate electrical current.
The method by which the microphone produces small electrical current is usually fine for most of the process' stages. This electrical production, for instance, is strong enough for the usage of a voice or tape recorder and the signals are easily transmitted through electrical wires.
However, the final step, which is pushing the speaker cone in a back and forth movement, is considered more difficult. To do this, you must boost the audio electrical signals so it will have larger currents while maintaining the same fluctuation pattern or charge.
This is the main job of a home stereo amplifier as well as any other type of amplifier. It basically produces a more dominant version of the traditional audio signal. Amplifiers are intensely complex sound devices, composed of hundreds of tiny electrical pieces; however, you will be able to grasp a clearer picture on how they work if you exert a bit of effort in examining its basic properties and components.

Playing In Stereo
Playing your guitar in stereo gives your music a much larger and ‘wider’ sound. It makes your guitar sound feel like it is taking up the whole room. Pretty much all recorded guitar sounds are produced in stereo to give the music a fuller “presence” in the room and a wider resonance. When you listen to headphones, you can head this.. To have your guitar in stereo, here are a few tips
First, buy a stereo amplifier such as a fender Princeton chorus or any other digital modeling amp in which line 6 is stereo.
Secondly, buy a modern digital guitar processor. Use any modern digital guitar processor. These units usually have two outputs (left/right). Run the two leads to the two channels of a mixing desk or mixer/amp unit as long as the PA system is running in stereo. This is very important. When you are finished, hard pan each channel to each of the left and right outputs.
Some mixing boards include the right and left channels and you can attach both outputs of your processor to one channel. If you wish to hear your guitar separately from the other instruments, you will still need to “monitor” your sound through some type of amp that is not part of the PA system. Most bands these days elect to run everything into the PA system and have no stage amps at all.
Additionally, you may use two amplifiers and use one of the effect processors mentioned above or any effect unit such as chorus or delay unit that has two outputs. One output goes to one amp and the other goes to the other amp. You can produce stereo sound using this method without having a PA system.
However, the downside of this is the set up is more time consuming, requires double rigging and twice as much actual equipment. It requires a lot of work, however, the result is remarkably different from playing through a single mono amplifier. The sound quality is amazing and you get a stereo sound.
Most harmony machines and will only sound great in a stereo configuration when doing complex harmonies. If you are going to use one of these instruments, you need to set up a stereo speak system.
Do not be under the false impression that running two speaker cabinets out of two outputs of one amp is stereo, this is not stereo. It is just adding another speaker to give extra spread of sound. It does not add any actual power or create a stereo signal.
Stereo ensures your guitar sound better and fills the room. It gives the listener more complete music experience and should be used all the time.
