Car Dealership over charge for Warranties, Wheels & extras! Need info on Aftermarket?

We are looking at Mercedes Benz AMG SLK 55. The want to get some info and advice on prices, websties and retailers for Extended Warrnties, Wheels, tires, parts, grilles and chroming shops.

On the extended warrnty we are finding it hard to get ay quotes on an aftermarket warranty in CA, WHY?

Is true you can only buy in from the dealership in CA?

Can any find out what it cost outside California and outside of a car dealership?

Also should we buy the extended warranty now or near the end of the factory warranty?

Dealer is telling the truth.... The State of California passed legislation that prohibits quoting or selling extended service contracts (extended warranties) to California residents by anyone other than the selling automobile dealer.

Extended warranties are a waste of money. It's like handing them $2000 and saying they can keep the money if your car doesn't have any problems. It's better to keep the money in a savings account and if nothing happens then YOU get to keep the money and any interest.
