Car Amp Sub Amplifier Subwoofer Help PLEASE CVR12 4ohm?

HI,
I have 3 CompVR12 subwoofers. They are dual voice coil. Each coil is rated at 4 ohms.
The manual says
""Power Handling Watts, Peak (RMS) -- 800(400)"" ( so i believe that to be 400watts per sub or per coil?)
My option for wiring is to series coils on same subs, then parrallel the overall (See link below)
So Basically I dont know what kind of amp I need, what should the power ratings be?

HEY EVIL RONDY how are you figuring 3 ohms? Each coil is 4 ohms, 3 subs, DVC. Every where on the internet i find that the primary way would be 2.67 ohms is each individual sub was seriesed then overall was parralled.

I'd say 400 RMS per sub.

Best bet is a 2-channel amp. Parallel each woofer's own coils, then run the three in series and bridge the amp. This will give a 3-Ohm load.

If your goal is to get them at 1-Ohm, you need two amps, a mono block and a 2-channel, both 1-Ohm capable. wire two subs in parallel and connect to mono block. Wire the other woofer in parallel and wire to the 2-channel in bridged mode. Both will be running at 1-Ohm.

Personally, I'd go with the 3-Ohm setup. Get as big an amp as you can.

You can't get those speakers to run at 2-Ohms on a mono block. All you can get is 6 Ohms or 2.66, but the latter would not be good because the woofers would not receive the same power.
