Amplifier car stereo help?

I have two kicker cvr 12" subs. They are 400 rms and 800w peak power individually. I was wondering what kind of amplifier do i need ( around what power). The subs are goign to be in two seperate boxes. I was looking at a sony 1200 watt amp and 250x2 at 2 ohms. i dont want the subs to be underpowerd by much but then again dont want to overpower them

You have two CVR's in diffrent boxes?
I would recommend putting them in one box, this will make the sub sound much more clear. Sony amp's are not so great. I would recommend staying with kicker and getting a 750. if you wire them up correctly in a single box, they will be 800 watts RMS, this amp will do 750 watts RMS therefor you will have the best power coming from your subs. I have them same set up, but i have my cvr's in the kicker vented box, which increases the bass.
