Pioneer head unit question reguarding Sirius satalite capabilites?

I have a Pioneer Head Unit (DEH-P6800MP). It has Sirius satalite capabilities but it needs a SSC1 universal vehicle tuner to make it work. The question I have is in order for it to work do I also need the Sirius connect interface adapter?

If your are going to use the SCC1, then yes, you will need to purchase the Pioneer Sirius Translator module as well.
