Bringing a new Toyota home is like a adding a new member to the family. Whether it's a Toyota Tacoma, Toyota Tundra, or Toyota T-100, it's a vehicle that you depend on to get you where you are going and do what needs to be done. Endless hours will be spent in it getting you where you need to be. Since you'll be spending a good amount of time driving around in your Toyota, you should be able to enjoy it to its fullest. Adding some sort of sound system to your truck or SUV will certainly help you to enjoy your trips to various places in life. After all, there is nothing worse than having to spend countless moments in your Toyota with a sound system that just isn't up to par. Sure, the stock system that comes with a Toyota Tacoma or Toyota Tundra is decent or maybe even more than decent if you decided to go with the premium stock system, but there is always going to be something missing. What's missing is the low end of your favorite tunes, or the bass that gives you that nice boom you can feel in your chest while cruising down the highway.
Sub woofers are the perfect solution when looking for some bass to add to your Toyota's sound system. Good sub woofers will provide you with the low end you need for your favorite tunes. Many sub woofers are high quality and from top name brand suppliers. With a little research, you will be able to pick out the right sub for your Toyota Tacoma, Toyota Tundra, or Toyota T-100 and get you fully enjoying your system in no time. Don't forget to pick up a nice amplifier for that new sub, or you won't be hearing much bass at all. Well known audio dealers also carry top of the line name brand amplifiers to fit perfectly with your sub woofers. Professionals in this industry will help you fit your amp and sub woofer together for great sounding low end.
Purchasing a sub and amplifier for your Toyota is a great investment. However, some sort of high quality subwoofer enclosure or custom sub boxes should be installed as well to fully reap the benefit of your new system. A subwoofer enclosure will do more for the quality of your system than you can imagine. They not only save space in the little amount of room in your truck that there is, but custom sub boxes are designed for your specific model of Toyota so that they'll blend into the interior. This looks as if it's part of the original truck or SUV, and thwarts of any potential theft of your brand new system. Custom sub boxes do more than just save space and blend in though; they also produce the best quality sound possible from your sub woofer and amp. A high quality subwoofer enclosure will prevent resonation from the amp and subwoofer, while also preventing the out of phase waves of the rear from mixing with in phase waves of the front. Therefore, a subwoofer enclosure will ultimately allow you to hear the nice bass tones from the back end while still clearly resonating the high and middle notes of the front. Thus, your system will be giving off a full and deep overall sound with any type of music.
Audio manufacturers offer an extensive product line including a variety of subwoofer enclosures, amps and sub woofers for your specific Toyota. They have particular products for the Toyota Tacoma ranging from all types of custom sub boxes, as well as specific products for the Toyota Tundra, Toyota T-100 and Toyota SUV. Allow a car or truck audio professional to help you get great sound with their extensive expertise.

Fix Up your Ford With a Custom Subwoofer Box
There’s nothing quite like having the perfect sound system to go with your Ford F-250 or Ford Expedition. Having the right tunes to ride with is only half the battle. The other half is having the right system for the vehicle and the correct truck subwoofer boxes to get that great sounding bass. Unfortunately, the manufacturer doesn’t always provide the highest quality stock when it comes to sound and gear. Even the premium sound system that comes with a Ford F-150 or Ford F-250 doesn’t quite put out the punch desired. Therefore, adding a subwoofer and a custom subwoofer box to your Ford F-150 or Ford F-250 will give you the groove and the bump you need when cruising down the road. High quality subwoofer enclosures that are matched correctly by a professional will get the best sound out of your truck or SUV system, and will guarantee that the custom subwoofer box can take the boom of the system as well.
Installing a sound system with a subwoofer and a custom subwoofer box to your Ford F-250 or Ford F-150 requires a great deal of consideration. Two main concerns when installing a system in a Ford F-150 or Ford F-250 is the amount of space it will take up in addition to whether or not it will destroy the interior. Both of these concerns are valid ones when the system is not fitted correctly and not matched with a high quality custom subwoofer box. Not only could the amp and subwoofer take up too much space, or destroy the interior, but it could also leave it exposed to potential thieves. Truck subwoofer boxes are built to fit in your specific model of Ford and are fitted to blend in with the interior of the truck as well. Therefore, many top of the line subwoofer enclosures will save space and will look like an original part of your Ford. This means that potential thieves will be none the wiser to the booming system in your truck, until of course they hear it from down the road.
The space problem isn’t quite as prominent if you have a Ford Expedition or Ford Ranger, however it’s still a good idea to blend the subwoofer enclosures in with the SUV. Not only does it look nice and thwart the potential theft of your system, but it keeps your amp and subwoofer safe and sounding their best.
Another difficult task when installing a system and truck subwoofer boxes can be matching components up to the correct subwoofer enclosures. The relationship between your system and its custom subwoofer box is a key element to creating the best sound possible in your Ford truck or SUV. Professional installers will make sure that your system is correctly matched up, and many will carry the high quality products and materials needed to make your truck system sound great. These companies should offer high quality amps and subwoofers from top name brand companies to fit with your subwoofer enclosures perfectly.
The highest quality materials should be used for truck subwoofer boxes including medium density fiberboard so that your system will not resonate and will sound great for the duration. A subwoofer with a custom subwoofer box will add depth to your system while maintaining an overall clarity and evenness throughout the sound. The fiberboard used should also be a light weight material, thus adding little load onto your Ford.
Take care when installing a system with a custom subwoofer box in your Ford. Allow the professionalsto help you match the right subwoofer enclosures to your amp and subwoofer so that you will be cruising down the road with a killer sound system.

If my shallow subwoofer touches the bottom of my custom enclosure, will it create bass properly?
I have an MB Quart RSH252 shallow sub that was going to go in my custom stealth enclosure in my Scion tC under the trunkbed. The sub is too big and touches the bottom of the fiberglass enclosure, and the only way to mount it would be to put a wooden ring under it to raise up the mounting area. If I raise the mount with a wooden ring, will the fact that it still touches the bottom of the enclosure affect performance and how it performs?
If the sub has a vented pole piece, you don't want to block the vent (in the middle of the back plate). It allows heat to escape to improve power handling.
