Abstract: 
The speakers provide a much cleaner and more feedback from the speakers produce medium and high efficiency. There seems to be a loss of less response. At lower frequencies are cleaner to pass, but not so obvious. This can be attributed to a factory speakers offer a "muddy", released at low altitudes. It can also be attributed to the speaker is a 6x8 to 5x7. In general, I find these speakers. The central unit is a new tomorrow. I think this is the low frequency form. The HU has a new 7-band equalizer in the stock HU administration has only two low (Treb). 

Advantages: 
Beautiful high-end and midrange response. Very clean and clear sound across frequencies.

History: 
I decided to speakers of the new plant to share after the market as part of an update to my explorer stereo. I searched around and found these speakers to replace directly (without the adapter). I'm usually skeptical about buying online so for those working in the area and visited the shop. I got these speakers in the wall of speakers tested in the other in the range of other models in the higher price. My test was just to the central unit to manage with a flat EQ to a local radio station. Many of the deals sound. Points higher price higher than the final answer, as expected. Then activate the control unit to a predetermined "rock" EQ. These speakers come alive with the answer. The other models are not as good sound with this setting EQ. I can not say if he use of radio or amplifier to an external amplifier speakers on the wall drive. Among the models in the range of prices, they seem better. I think it's a big deal. 

I add a small subwoofer on the bottom of the music to cover. I will decide after installing new HU and EQ-d. 

They came with black tape trim rings with the speakers. I was told that it is not necessary for me to install. I think the rings are a spacer to prevent damage during transport.

great sound for the money...

I bought these speakers to replace a pair of infinity's that i had purchased about 5 years ago, and just recently fell apart on me, literally. After noticing some rattling I realized that the tweeter had actaully come unglued on the the right front speaker (infinity). So, I started searching Amazon.com for a pair of replacement speakers. I found these Polks on [...] originally, then I found a better deal on Amazon.com, and after reading some pretty good reviews on a number of different sites, I decided to go w/ these speakers. I got them pretty quickly and immediately installed them, replacing the infinity's and began to 'break-in' the Polks. They keep sounding better every day, it's been about 2 weeks since they've been installed and I think that they're just about 'broke-in', cuz they have really hit their stride. I get some really good mid-range and high end frequency response from these speakers. The bass is so-so, but that's why I have a pair of 10" subs in the trunk. Over all they sound good for the money spent. For sub-100$ speakers, I think you'd be pretty hard-pressed to find a better pair. I'm really happy w/ my decision: these speakers can keep up with the Clarion's in the rear, and seem to meld well with them. I'd suggest these speakers to anyone looking for a pair of entry-level cones that won't break the bank.

how to connect a different car amp and subwoofer to a for explorer 1996?

i need help connecting a amplifier and a subwoofer to my 1996 ford explorer.
what cables do i need and what do i connect it to.
it has the factory stereo in it.

You really need a new headunit for the RCA cables. They hook in the input of the stereo to the input of the amplifier. then you need a 4 guage ground wire that goes on the cars base, straight on the metal and have a selp tapping screw hold it in place. Then you need a turn on lead going to the blue turn on that is connected to the headunit. finally, a 4 guage wire going from the battery to the amplifier, and hook up the subwoofer and you're set. The trick is running the wires where they can't be seem, either under the rug or on the side panels where they also won't get effected. Good luck, it takes a little while and aggrivation to complete the job. If you want, take it to a local audio shop and they'll hook it up for under $100 usually. I charge $40 an hour, some might charge more.
